Happy Paper Crafting!
I had such a nice brunch last Sunday at the Country Plantation House I thought I would share some photos.
One day at work one of my co-workers asked me if I had heard of this place. He thought it was near my house. And it is within an hour, but not really close. I had never heard of it before and he went online and showed me the website. The pictures were beautiful! So I went back to my desk and read more about it on their website. Needless to say I couldn't wait to make my reservation!
My friends birthday was coming up and I thought what a great idea to surprise her with a nice lunch! She is my neighbor and I was almost positive that she had never heard of this place either since I hadn't. We usually share new places we find with each other and I had never heard her mention it.
I booked our reservation and only told her what time I was picking her up and that we were eating lunch. That is all she knew! It was an hour drive from our home. But we both said to each other it didn't feel like an hour. It was such a beautiful drive! Greenville has rolling hills and this time of year everything is so green. And coming from the Southern California desert I can say that. I really enjoyed the ride.
We found the drive way and I kept waiting to see the house. The driveway was very long. I loved it! I thought I was in an old movie! After a few miles we saw the house and I yelled "surprise"! We are eating lunch here! She couldn't wait to get out of the car! We grabbed our cameras and started taking pictures. It looked just like the pictures online showed, but more beautiful!
Our table was ready when we arrived and we were able to put our things down and get our food and drink. There wasn't a line. We got there a little early and were able to walk around and soak it all in. It just felt like we had gone back in time. The land and the house was just breathtaking.
The food. Oh the food. I will let the pictures do the talking.
I did a little sampling of a few things so I could go back and get the ones I liked. The problem was, there wasn't anything I didn't like! It all tasted so good! We tried to decide what our favorite was and we couldn't! It all had such a great taste! I loved it all!
The full menu of what they serve is on their website.
And the dessert...
I didn't get a picture of all the pies they had. But my friend got a slice of key lime pie and I choose the cheesecake. We both didn't need it as we were stuffed at that point, but we both greatly enjoyed it!
I hope that if you are in the Greenville area on a Sunday that you do go have lunch there. It was worth it! I can't wait to go back.
